To my understanding, the latest version of Flex resolves the issue of needing embedded fonts for these types of things. It's one of the reasons I was waiting for the latest version to come out. But I'm not totally sure of this. Perhaps you might know better?

Unfortunately, I haven't been working with Flex much lately and this site's visibility will likely reflect the fact that it doesn't have a lot content. I'm saving up for the Adobe Creative Master Suite, which includes the latest Flex (Flash Builder), so until then, I don't think I'll have much new up here to where the site will gain much visibility.

I prefer this solution than embedding fonts and adding 0, 0 blur filters to Flex components.

You can also adjust the blendMode property of the Application to apply this to all the text.

This post should be more visible in the web! I've found your site after tons of Googling for a solution!
