I’ve also made some minor adjustments to the various sections here including this portal page. These news items are now available in blog format while the entry point is a Home page. It makes the site more navigable and visitors aren’t bombarded with blog articles upon entry.

That said, the links to the new blogs should all appear on the navigation bar to the left. There is a theology blog which is more of my personal journal, communicating my various meditations and thoughts on God. There is the poetry blog, my personal storehouse for the various poetic works I’ve written and might continue to write. There’s my new review section where I will offer my particular opinion on various products and services, most of which will be software related. I’ve already mentioned the opening of my Flex development blog, but I’ve actually cleaned it up and finally have articles in there.

For those interested in knowing more about the various blogs, I have some information in the ‘About’ sections on the respective blogs, but I’d like to state here that one of the key motivations for me in writing so much stuff, at least at this point, is that I’d like to hone my writing skills while simultaneously offering a resume of sorts in hopes that I might find work utilizing such skills. Of course, it will be by God’s will that I’ll land better work, but he’ll accomplish that by various means and I’m hoping that my work on these blogs will be one of those means.

I’ve always had a deep affinity for game projects that break from the popular crowd and provide a unique gaming experience, perhaps even creating a new genre. The upcoming, World of Goo, is just such a game. It began as a freeware game experiment, Tower of Goo, which is still widely played on the internet, and its grown into a beautiful beast of an experience.

I have much respect for the work of the two authors, one of which happens to be behind the Experimental Game Project. That author has created some other game projects that are easily as inventive and wonderful as World of Goo and I’m venturing to guess that given that so many numbers of people seem to be snatching up pre-orders for World of Goo, this author’s previous projects will likewise materialize into stunning commercial games.

If you’re interested in purchasing the game, it is scheduled to be released on October 14 and it should become available at various commercial establishments such as Wal-Mart and Amazon.com. I’ll offer my own affiliate link here wherein you could purchase the game through Amazon.com, though admittedly, I personally don’t have much patience in waiting for things to arrive when ordered through the internet and I suspect others wouldn’t have as much patience, either.

In my Adobe Flex development endeavors, I happened across this link that led to the Flex-developed web site, Scrapblog. This wonderful concept of a web site offers the capability of not just storing and making accessible one’s photos, but decorating them as one would in a scrapbook. The process of creating a scrapblog is illustrated via a video available as a link on the homepage and seems to be easily facilitated by the software driving the site. Once created, it is but a matter of a few clicks to get that scrapblog produced in printed form.

Personally, I think the scrapblog concept is a winner and it certainly seems to be gaining a following, given the enormous number of scrapblogs currently available. I also think that Scrapblog presents yet another stunning example of what can be rather easily achieved using Flash and the Flex development software.
